The Sedgwick Museum is hosting a curatorial traineeship jointly with Kettles Yard so there'll be the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in two contrasting museums.
Trainee Curators will learn how to;
Hours of work
Trainees will work for 40 days from May 2022. The hours do not have to happen the same way every week. The Museum can work with you to find the hours and days that suit you best.
Salary
The salary is £2,772 (non-London) for the 40-day placement, equal to the Real Living Wage
Support
You will have a personalised programme of support, training, mentoring and networking
You will be part of a network of 8 Curatorial Trainees and 8 Curatorial Fellows
You have the opportunity to help us make sure disabled people and their history is represented in museums

The Sedgwick Museum and Kettles Yard are part of the University of Cambridge Museums.
The Curating for Change programme aims to make a change and help more disabled, D/deaf and neurodivergent people to work in museums.
This project is run by Accentuate. Accentuate is a programme to make it easier for disabled, Deaf or neurodivergent people to take part in culture. Accentuate have 11 years’ experience. The programme is part of Screen South.
