India Unboxed: Meet the meteorites


The UCM India Unboxed series continues with the puzzling story of the fiery meteorites which were cold to the touch when they fell to earth in northwest India 157 years ago.

Today, the interstellar objects can be found in the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, where they are still used in research to increase our understanding of the universe and our place among the stars.

This series is part of Cambridge's celebrations of the UK-India Year of Culture.



Celebrating 200 years since Adam Sedgwick (1775-1873) became the 7th Woodwardian Professor 21st May 1818.



Dr Elizabeth Harper has been appointed Acting Director of the Sedgwick Museum following the retirement of Dr Ken McNamara.
