The Sedgwick Museum encourages visits from school groups of all ages, we also welcome higher education and all other community groups. If you would like to bring a group to the museum please book at least 2 weeks in advance.

All of these services are free of charge however we welcome donations
|Facilitated visits||Workshops are led by a member of the Museum Education staff. They usually last an hour and a half and include time to explore the museum galleries and an object handling session. We offer workshops for Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. We are unable offer any taught sessions for EFL students, however you may want to book a welcome talk. The Education Team are always happy to arrange a pre-visit meeting to discuss your visit. Facilitated visits are available during term time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays mornings and all day Thursday.|
|Welcome talks||Talks are led by a member of museum staff and usually last 10mins. They include a very general introduction to the Museum and one or two key objects, with an opportunity for questions.|
|Self led||You will lead your school, HE/EFL or community group around the museum. The Education Team are always happy to arrange a pre-visit meeting to help you plan your visit. There are also lots of resources available to help with self-led visits including activity boxes to use in the museum.|
|Outreach||Currently we do not have the capacity to offer outreach visits. However loan boxes are available to take out of the museum.|
