Re-opening of Sedgwick Museum collections for research

We are delighted to announce that from 1st October, we will be inviting enquiries regarding access to our research collections during the new academic year.

If you wish to enquire about our collections, request a loan or arrange a research visit, please contact us with your requirements at sedgwickmuseum@esc.cam.ac.uk

Whilst we will make every effort to meet your needs, we may need to change arrangements at short notice in response to changing conditions during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Back at the beginning of lock down the Getty museum challenged us to recreate famous works of art with objects from around the home (#GettyMuseumChallenge). As soon as I heard about it I knew I had to make the Duria Antiquior. Despite it’s size, you might have missed the ‘Duria’, high up on a wall in the Jurassic pond area of the museum.
